Stablecoin Swaps: Up to 98% Cheaper with No KYC

Stablecoin-to-stablecoin swaps on LeoDex now pay just 1 basis point — automatically, on every quote, with no KYC, no account and no token to stake. Here is what we shipped, why we shipped it, and how to use it.

Stablecoins have become the most used product in crypto. They settle in seconds, they cost cents to move, and hundreds of billions of dollars sit in them right now. Most people holding them are not trading — they are getting paid, paying somebody, moving treasury between chains, or parking value outside their local currency.

LeoDex's mission is to make DEX feel like CEX. On stablecoins, one thing was still clearly worse: the fee.

So we shipped Swap Stables. Every stablecoin-to-stablecoin swap on LeoDex now pays 1 basis point — up to 98% off our exchange fee, applied automatically, with no account, no KYC, no token to stake and no tier to unlock.

It is live on LeoDex.io right now.

The LeoDex swap interface in Stables mode swapping 600,000 USDT to USDC. The swap card shows a receive amount of 599,699.492977 USDC via Chainflip, a rate of 1 USDT = 0.999499 USDC, and an exchange fee line with $2,160.05 struck through and replaced by $120.05, beneath a green badge reading '98% off on stablecoin pairs'. The Routes panel on the right lists six routes with Chainflip marked Best Route, tagged DCA 60 chunks and 9 minutes, showing a savings callout of 'YOU SAVE $2,040.00' and a Swap Mode section recommending DCA in 60 chunks worth $1,051.57 more than regular execution.

What we updated

The fee. Stable-to-stable pairs pay 1 bp (0.01%) instead of 35 bps. On a $600,000 USDT to USDC swap, that is $60 instead of $2,100.

Automatic on every quote. No promo code, no page you have to visit. Our backend checks both sides of every quote it prices — normal swap page, shared link or API. If both are verified stablecoins, the lower fee is already in the number you see.

A Swap Stables page. New tab in the top navigation, plus an All / Stables toggle on the swap card. Stables mode filters both token pickers to verified stablecoins, so you are not scrolling past hundreds of assets to find PYUSD on Arbitrum.

A savings display. Every route card shows the old fee struck through, the new fee, and what you saved. That number comes from our API, not the browser — every quote now returns a fee policy declaring what it charged. What you see is what we bill.

A verified stablecoin list. 104 token identifiers, 18 stablecoins, roughly 25 chains — matched on exact contract address, not ticker symbol, so a copycat token can never qualify.

Why we updated it

The cheapest way to convert stablecoins has always been a centralized exchange. Deposit USDT, trade the pair for nearly nothing, withdraw USDC.

That route costs you a passport, a selfie, a proof of address, and a company that can freeze your balance while you argue with a support ticket. You hand over your identity and your custody to save a few basis points.

If you will not or cannot do KYC, onchain was your only option — and it was the expensive one. We do not think privacy should carry a 35 bps surcharge. That gap is now effectively closed.

We believe the future of money is onchain, private, and yours. Not sitting on an exchange that can freeze it, not gated behind a KYC form, and not taxed on the way out. Every release we ship is aimed at making the self-custodial path the obvious one — not the one you settle for.

How to save thousands of dollars swapping stablecoins onchain

Go to leodex.io/swap/stable, or open the normal swap and click the Stables toggle above the amount field. Both get you the same price — the tab is just faster for finding pairs.

Close-up of the LeoDex interface with two yellow arrows highlighting where the new feature lives: one pointing to the 'Swap Stables' tab in the top navigation bar next to Swap, Trade and Perps, and one pointing to the 'Stables' pill in the All / Stables toggle at the top of the swap card. A third arrow points down at the green savings banner reading '98% off on stablecoin pairs — Reduced fee on stablecoin swaps, YOU SAVE $2,040.00'.
Where to find it: the new Swap Stables tab in the header, and the All / Stables toggle on the swap card.

Pick your pair, enter an amount, and look at the Exchange Fee line. You will see the old fee struck through next to the new one, with a green 98% off on stablecoin pairs badge underneath.

Then look at the Routes panel on the right, because this is the part we would actually like you to check.

The fee cut is the floor, not the whole story. On a large swap, the route you pick is usually worth more than the fee you saved. In our own testing on a $600,000 USDT to USDC quote, Chainflip's DCA mode — splitting the order into 60 chunks over nine minutes — came out $1,051 ahead of executing it in one shot, because six figures hitting a pool at once moves the price against you.

On another run, NEAR Intents won with Confidential settlement in 52 seconds, for the same output and the same speed as the transparent route. Private execution at no extra cost.

The same 600,000 USDT to USDC swap with NEAR Intents selected as the route, badged 'Confidential' and settling in 52 seconds for 599,273.0405 USDC. The exchange fee shows $2,159.92 struck through and replaced by $119.92, with the '98% off on stablecoin pairs' badge and a 'YOU SAVE $2,040.00' callout. The route carries Fastest, Cheapest and Best Price tags, and a Swap Mode panel reads 'Confidential recommended — same output and time'.
A different run on the same pair — NEAR Intents winning with Confidential settlement in 52 seconds, for the same output and the same speed as the transparent route.

See Every Route. Swap the Best One.

And you do not need to connect a wallet to do any of this. Every Chainflip, NEAR Intents and Relay route supports deposit-address swaps, which means you can swap without ever connecting to LeoDex.io. Generate the deposit address directly from the protocol using our page, scan the QR code from whatever wallet you already use, and your swap goes through.

What's next: buying and selling crypto with fiat

The next major release we are working on is fiat.

Right now LeoDex starts working the moment you already have crypto. That is a real gap. If you are getting paid in dollars, or you want to take profit into your bank account, you still have to route through a centralized exchange — which puts you right back into the KYC and custody problem we just spent this release getting you out of.

So we are building on-ramp and off-ramp directly into LeoDex. Buy crypto with a card or a bank transfer, and sell crypto back to fiat, without an exchange account in the middle.

Two things we care about getting right.

Comparison, not a single provider. The same way we compare swap routes, we intend to compare ramp providers and rank them on what actually lands in your wallet — net crypto delivered, after every fee. Advertised fee percentages are close to meaningless in this industry; a provider advertising 0% routinely pays out worse than one advertising 2%. We will rank on the real number.

Fiat into anything, not just the majors. Ramps only support a short list of assets. LeoDex routes across 60+ chains. Chaining the two means you can buy with fiat and land in an asset no ramp supports directly — which is exactly the kind of problem our router already solves.

We are deep in provider integration work on this now. If there is a fiat corridor or payment method you need, tell us and it will factor into what we prioritize.

In the meantime, Swap Stables is live now at leodex.io/swap/stable. If you move stablecoins regularly — payroll, treasury, rebalancing, or just getting paid in the wrong stable on the wrong chain — try it and tell us what breaks. We read everything.

Preguntas frecuentes

Q.How do I get the lower stablecoin swap fee on LeoDex?

You do not have to do anything. The discount is applied automatically by our backend to any qualifying stablecoin pair, on every quote, whether you use the standard swap page, the Swap Stables page, a shared link or the API. There is no promo code, no token to hold and no account to create.

Q.What is the cheapest way to swap USDT to USDC across chains without KYC?

On LeoDex the exchange fee for a stablecoin pair is 1 basis point (0.01%) — up to 98% cheaper than our standard rate — with no identity check and no account. You still pay the underlying protocol fee, network gas and any slippage. We compare every available route and cover corridors most bridges do not, such as USDT on TRON to USDC on Base.

Q.Do I need to connect a wallet to swap stablecoins on LeoDex?

No. Chainflip, NEAR Intents and Relay routes all support deposit-address swaps, so you can swap without connecting anything to LeoDex.io. The page generates a one-time deposit address from the protocol, you scan the QR code from whatever wallet you already use, and the output settles to a destination address you provide.

Q.Which stablecoins and chains are included?

104 verified token identifiers covering 18 stablecoins: USDT, USDC, DAI, USDS, USDe, PYUSD, FRAX, TUSD, USD1, crvUSD, LUSD, GUSD, sUSD, USDP, USDD, BUSD, EURC and bridged versions such as USDC.e and USDbC. Chains include Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, BSC, Avalanche, Solana, TRON, TON, NEAR, Sui, HyperEVM, Linea, Scroll, zkSync, Sonic, Berachain and Monad.

Q.Does the discount work on crosschain stablecoin swaps?

Yes. A swap from USDT on TRON to USDC on Base gets the same 1 basis point fee as a swap that stays on a single chain, as long as both tokens are on our verified list.

Q.Why did LeoDex cut stablecoin swap fees?

Because the cheapest way to convert stablecoins had always been a centralized exchange, which costs you KYC and custody. If you will not or cannot do KYC, onchain was your only option and it was the expensive one. We do not think privacy should carry a fee premium, so we repriced stablecoin pairs to close that gap.

Q.Is the fee reduction temporary or does it require holding a token?

Neither. There is no expiry date, no token to stake, no volume tier and no connected wallet requirement. It is a permanent change to how we price stablecoin pairs, not a promotion.

Q.Does LeoDex support buying crypto with fiat?

Not yet — it is the next major release we are working on. We are building fiat on-ramp and off-ramp directly into LeoDex so you can buy crypto with a card or bank transfer and sell back to fiat without a centralized exchange account in the middle, with multiple providers compared and ranked on net crypto delivered.
