Binance Aims to Reopen All Remaining Withdrawals by End of Next Week

Plus: Hackers Swap Stolen XRP Through THORChain, Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Post Outflows
Good Morning Lions,
Binance is still reopening withdrawals in phases after its late-October security incident, and a Korean exchange just froze everything over a threatening email. I think custody risk is weighing on crypto right now as much as the Wall Street selling is. If Binance misses its own deadline, that fear spreads well beyond HYPE holders.. and self-custody starts looking a lot less optional for plenty of frens.
Binance Targets Full Withdrawal Restoration
TL;DR: Binance said it aims to reopen withdrawals for its remaining tokens and restored networks by the end of next week. The target would close out a phased recovery that began after a late-October 2026 security incident on the exchange.
Hackers Swap Stolen XRP Through THORChain
TL;DR: Hackers swapped roughly $50 million in stolen XRP, with most of it routed through THORChain, according to an Elliptic report cited by Crypto Briefing. Stolen assets converted into Bitcoin now total 1,650 BTC, per Elliptic.
Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Post Outflows
TL;DR: US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs recorded about $530 million in combined net outflows on Nov. 5, per Farside Investors data reported by CryptoSlate. The redemptions came during a Wall Street sell-off and cut short a post-midterm recovery in ETF demand.
Binance Leaves HYPE Off Reopening List
TL;DR: Binance's 9th recovery update on November 6 reopened withdrawals across nine networks, but Hyperliquid's HYPE was not on the list. HYPE holders on Binance have now gone eight days without withdrawals, and the exchange has given no reopening date.
GOPAX Freezes Trading Over Hack Threat
TL;DR: South Korean exchange GOPAX suspended trading, deposits and standard withdrawals after receiving a hacking-threat email. The exchange said it plans to move all crypto assets to offline wallets to protect users.
Chainalysis Expands Its Breach Disclosure
TL;DR: Chainalysis widened its cyberattack disclosure on Wednesday, confirming that names, usernames, password hashes and live tokens were exposed. The company had first described the breach as involving only non-sensitive customer data.
Samsung Wallet Adds USDC on Solana
TL;DR: Samsung Wallet turned on stablecoin accounts Thursday, letting eligible U.S. Galaxy users buy, hold, send and receive Circle's USDC on Solana. Users do not need a separate crypto app or private keys, per Samsung's announcement.
Binance gave HYPE no date, and the end-of-next-week target is only an aim. If HYPE is still missing from the next recovery update, the security event was messier than Binance has disclosed so far. 🦁 — Khal
